The Champions for Young Children Symposium aims to provide a rich professional development experience around a specific theme for participants and to offer an opportunity for professionals from multiple facets of early childhood education and parents to access information and network (e.g., mental health, Head Start, pre-K (public and private), early intervention, home visitation, child care, early childhood education, early childhood special education).

Goals for the 2025 Symposium:

  • To inspire and empower participants to understand the connection between social and emotional development and the prevention of suspension and expulsion.
  • To provide symposium participants with strategies they can use in their own settings to prevent suspension and expulsion.
  • To provide a platform for practitioners from multiple early childhood sectors to network.

CEUs and Training Credit:

  • Child Care: This event is a certified conference through SC Endeavors for child care training credit. Participants should provide necessary information when registering for the conference to earn child care training credit.
